Katie Mahoney
Katie moved out west from Iowa to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received her degree in Environmental Biology. She made her way to Jackson for the skiing and fell in love with community, which she now calls home. Katie worked as a Naturalist Guide for many years before switching to medicine. You can find Katie roaming the mountains skiing, biking or looking at flowers.  In 2016, Katie left Teton Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to begin nursing school training as a registered nurse.

Ben Thurston
Ben Thurston grew up in the mountains of Vermont. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island where he studied ocean engineering he moved west to pursue his love of the mountains and backcountry skiing. He moved to Jackson in 2008.   Ben is presently an emergency medical technician and firefighter for Jackson Hole Fire/EMS.

Boone Neligan
Boone started at Teton Oral Surgery in the Fall of 2011. He spent two and a half years with us, during which time he not only worked as a surgical assistant, but also assumed the role of “master of technical difficulties”. This is probably part of the reason he is now in Charleston, SC pursuing a degree in Computer Science.
Mara bio
Mara Chavez-Murphy
Mara began working for Dr. Stern in the Fall of 2012. She is originally from Denver, CO and lived in Jackson for 5 years, where she made her home in the mountains. She has her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She is fluent is Spanish and loves to travel the world when given the opportunity. Mara enjoys playing in the mountains, especially mountain biking, snowboarding, hiking, and climbing. She is a big fan of jumping pictures. Mara now lives in Laramie, WY (aka Laradise) and is pursuing a degree in nursing.
Ginny McClinton
Ginny comes from the small town of Vienna, WV. She received her degree in business economics from Wofford College. During college Ginny spent her summers working at A Bar A which eventually led her to take root in Jackson. She began working for Dr. Stern in 2010 and enjoyed it immensely. Ginny has since relocated to the Big Apple to try her hand at the big city life!

Joel Wenger

Joel obtained a degree in English from a Colorado University. He became interested in medical work while volunteering as a translator for a local free clinic. Joel worked for Dr. Stern between 2009 and 2012. Joel leftus to begin his training as a Physician Assistant. He is currently in the Physician Assistant training program at George Washington University and is combining this with a Masters of Public Health.



Heather Babcock

Heather Boschock

Heather worked for us between 2009-2010. Heather grew up in Philadelphia, New York, the village of brotherly love.She moved to Jackson after graduation to snowboard. She soon began volunteering for Jackson Hole Fire EMS as an EMT/Firefighter where her interest in the medical field grew. She was hired on as a part-time EMT/Firefighter and shortly after began working for Dr. Stern.

Tyler Smoot

Tyler worked for us from 2005 to 2009. At some point she decided that she wanted Dr. Stern’s job and therefore decided to go to dental school. She left our office and started her training at the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 2009. In 2013, Tyler began a 6 year combinedMedical Schooland Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program at Lousianna State Unviersity in New Orleans.

Brian left us in 2009. He is currently in Medical School at the University of Washington, Seattle.

Chris is now a paramedic working for Jackson Hole Fire/EMS.




Molly (retired)

Molly joined Teton Oral Surgery at its inception. She now is gone and spends her days sleeping in the sunshine.
