Marian grew up outside of Washington DC and graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in natural resources. She moved to Jackson in 2011 and worked as a wildlife guide for several years before becoming interested in nursing. She is a certified Emergency Medical Technician and Outdoor Emergency Care Technician and a ski patroller at Snow King in the winter. In her spare time you can find her skiing, mountain biking, or riding her horse, Harley. Marion left us in December, 2017 to start a Registered Nursing program at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston
Ashleigh is from Charleston, SC area, where she attended the College of Charleston and got her degree in Arts Management. She moved to Jackson in 2010, following a love for mountains, fresh air and wide open spaces. After years of bookkeeping and working in the hospitality industry, her growing interest in the medical field led her here. She spends her free time practicing yoga, being on the water, and hiking through the mountains with her favorite hiking partner, her dog Eli. In August, 2017, Ashleigh returned to her hometown of Charleston, SC to start a nursing program at the University of South Carolina, Charleston.
Katie moved out west from Iowa to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received her degree in Environmental Biology. She made her way to Jackson for the skiing and fell in love with community, which she now calls home. Katie worked as a Naturalist Guide for many years before switching to medicine. You can find Katie roaming the mountains skiing, biking or looking at flowers. In 2016, Katie left Teton Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is now a Registered Nurse working at Swedish Medical Center, Denver.
Ben Thurston grew up in the mountains of Vermont. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island where he studied ocean engineering he moved west to pursue his love of the mountains and backcountry skiing. He moved to Jackson in 2008. Ben is presently an emergency medical technician and firefighter for Jackson Hole Fire/EMS.
Joel obtained a degree in English from a Colorado University. He became interested in medical work while volunteering as a translator for a local free clinic. Joel worked for Dr. Stern between 2009 and 2012. Joel left us 2012 to begin his training as a Physician Assistant. In 2016 he received his Master of Public Health and a Physician Assistant degree from George Washington University in Washington,m DC. He is currently continuing his training and is in a critical care fellowship at the University of Utah.
Heather worked for us between 2009-2010. Heather grew up in Philadelphia, New York, the village of brotherly love.She moved to Jackson after graduation to snowboard. She soon began volunteering for Jackson Hole Fire EMS as an EMT/Firefighter where her interest in the medical field grew. She was hired on as a part-time EMT/Firefighter and shortly after began working for Dr. Stern.
Brian left us in 2009. He is currently in Medical School at the University of Washington, Seattle.
Chris is now a paramedic working for Jackson Hole Fire/EMS.
Molly joined Teton Oral Surgery at its inception. She now is gone and spends her days sleeping in the sunshine.
